How do we stop pirates - the REAL ones!

In their latest movie, Walt Disney glorifies "real" pirates, who were ruthless murderers and killers, while condemning the modern-time ones, whose actions have not yet been proved to hurt anyone. Who are the REAL modern pirates? And how do we stop them?
